Create Healthy Student Scholarship

Guidelines and Information

Purpose
To provide support funding for deserving applicants who wish to continue their post-secondary education in two-year, four-year and technical school programs.

General Information
Applications may be submitted by Senior students, Blanco ISD graduates, and Blanco County residents who have expressed interest in enrolling in a post-secondary educational program in a health related field (list of eligible programs is listed on application).

Applicant Criteria and Information

  1. The applicant must have a permanent address in Blanco County, TX, and/or be a graduate of Blanco High School;
  2. The applicant must complete the BEF application form in its entirety;
  3. The applicant must distribute reference forms (cannot be immediate family members) and retrieve the forms; and
  4. The applicant must submit all required documents to the Blanco High School Counselor on or before the designated due date (the third Thursday in April).
  5. The applicant should retain a copy of the application for his/her records – applications will not be returned.

Scott Edwards Memorial Student Scholarship

Guidelines and Information

Purpose
To provide support funding for deserving applicants who wish to continue their post-secondary education in two-year, four-year and technical school programs. This scholarship is being funded through money raised in honor of Scott Edwards who was a BISD School Board Member and Blanco Education Foundation Board member. We hope to honor Scott’s legacy by providing a scholarship to students seeking to expand their education/skills beyond high school.

General Information
Applications may be submitted by BISD Senior students.

Applicant Criteria

  1. The applicant must be a Blanco HS Senior in the Class of 2026;
  2. The applicant must complete the BEF application form in its entirety;
  3. The applicant must provide two (2) reference letters (cannot be immediate family members); and
  4. The applicant must submit all required documents to the Blanco High School Counselor on or before the designated due date.
  5. The applicant should retain a copy of the application for his/her records – applications will not be returned.

Scott Edwards Memorial Aide to Teacher Scholarship

Guidelines and Information

Purpose
To honor Scott Edwards’ years of service and dedication to supporting teachers in the Blanco Independent School District the Blanco Education Foundation is pleased to offer scholarship funds to teacher aides currently employed by Blanco ISD working on becoming a certified teacher. Scholarship applicants must be enrolled in courses before funds are dispersed, and proof of enrollment will be required.

Applicant Criteria and Information

  1. The applicant must be employed at Blanco ISD;
  2. The applicant must complete the BEF application form in its entirety;
  3. The applicant must include letters of reference from a supervising teacher and one character reference (cannot be immediate family members); and
  4. The applicant must submit all required documents to the Blanco Education Foundation on or before the designated due date.
  5. The applicant should retain a copy of the application for his/her records –applications will not be returned.
